Mission Central

The Mechanicsburg Lions Club is proud to support Mission Central and its mission of serving individuals and families in need throughout our community and beyond. We volunteer the 1st Tuesday of every other month.  We typically help by verifying flood buckets and personal care kits.  We also provide assistance in sorting clothing and assembling flood buckets. We are honored to work alongside Mission Central to make a positive difference in the lives of others.

On Tuesday, September 1, thirteen members of the Lions Club of Mechanicsburg spent their morning volunteering at Mission Central. Together, they verified more than 400 Hygiene Kits and dozens of Disaster Buckets, making sure these essential supplies were ready for distribution to those in need.

We’re proud to support Mission Central and the important work they do to provide essential resources to communities in need. Our Lions are always looking for ways to Serve Our Community, and we’re excited that more volunteer opportunities are on the horizon!

The Mechanicsburg Lions demonstrated their dedication to service on May 5th by volunteering their time at Mission Central. Members actively participated in various tasks, including preparing flood relief buckets, organizing clothing donations, and assembling 628 care packages.

This was a highly productive and fulfilling day, characterized by strong teamwork and a collective commitment to community service. We deeply value our partnership with Mission Central, which enables us to collaboratively make a significant positive impact within our community.

On Thursday, January 15, fourteen volunteers from the Mechanicsburg Lions Club served at Mission Central. During our time there, we sorted clothing designated for disaster relief efforts, counted and verified supplies for Flood Buckets. The club values these opportunities to serve and remains committed to supporting those in need through hands-on volunteerism.
