Our Lions Club is proud to partner with Pink Hands of Hope, a nonprofit organization and thrift store dedicated to supporting women battling breast cancer throughout Central Pennsylvania. Their mission is to enhance the lives of those affected by breast cancer by providing free products, services, and compassionate support to those in need.
Twice each year, in the spring and fall, our members volunteer for service projects at their facility. As one of their primary volunteer groups, we assist with landscaping and outdoor maintenance, as well as a variety of indoor projects, including painting, cleaning, organizing, and preparing merchandise for the thrift store.
We are honored to support Pink Hands of Hope and help them continue making a meaningful difference in the lives of women and families throughout our community.

Weed Angels Descend on Pink Hands of Hope 7-30-26
On Thursday, July 30, three hardworking “Weed Angels” descended on Pink Hands of Hope with one mission: reclaim the front entrance and parking lot from the jungle of stubborn weeds!
Armed with gloves, determination, and plenty of elbow grease, the angels worked their magic, filling nearly three large construction bags with weeds and sending them off to “weed heaven.”
The transformation was remarkable! Deb at Pink Hands of Hope was thrilled to see the storefront looking fresh, clean, and welcoming once again.
A big round of applause to our Lions Club volunteers for continuing to make a positive difference and helping keep Mechanicsburg beautiful—one project at a time. Thank you for another job well done!
Spring Clean-Up 5-11-26
The Mechanicsburg Lions Club recently completed its annual spring service project with Pink Hands of Hope, once again helping prepare the property for the busy season ahead. Deb and the team at Pink Hands of Hope depend on the Lions Club each spring and fall for assistance with landscaping and cleanup projects.
Volunteers spent the day tackling a variety of outdoor tasks including extensive weeding in the front and side stone beds, trimming perennials, mulching, spraying weeds, watering and general landscaping cleanup. Inside, another crew worked on creating new price tags, organizing raffle tickets, and filling small seed packets.
Additional projects completed included hauling a large number of donation bags to Community Aid, clearing and sweeping the lower steps, repairing the back tarp that protects the rear entrance, and fixing the open sign at the front entrance.
The Mechanicsburg Lions Club is proud to continue supporting Pink Hands of Hope and their important work in the community through hands-on service and teamwork.
