Our Lions Club is proud to partner with One80 Ministries, an organization dedicated to creating a safe, welcoming environment where individuals can build meaningful relationships while receiving support for everyday needs.
Throughout the year, our members participate in three major service projects. We host Game Night, providing snacks and fellowship for individuals seeking connection and community. During the Friday Give Away, we prepare and serve a meal for approximately 50 guests before they receive assistance from the food pantry. We also complete special service projects based on the organization’s current needs, such as preparing living spaces for single women and mothers with young children who are beginning a new chapter in their lives.
We are honored to support One80 Ministries and their mission of bringing hope, compassion, and practical assistance to our community.

Lions Bring Fun, Food and Friendly Competition to 180 Ministries Game Night 8-14-26
It was another fun-filled evening for the Mechanicsburg Lions Club as club members teamed up with 180 Ministries for a lively Game Night on Friday, August 14!
Game Night’s mission is simple but important: provide a safe, welcoming place where people in the community can gather, enjoy a light meal, play games, and—most importantly—enjoy good companionship.
The Lions kicked off the evening by serving up hearty meatball subs, chips, and delicious root beer floats. With full tummies and plenty of energy, everyone was ready for some friendly competition!
The evening’s theme was “Minute to Win It,” featuring a variety of fun and challenging games, including putting, Skee-Ball, “Pull It,” ping-pong-ball tic-tac-toe, and several other games that had participants laughing, cheering, and giving it their best shot.
Flo Hummel kept the fun moving along, providing guidance throughout the evening and making sure the winners went home with prizes—and plenty of bragging rights!
The smiles and appreciation from those who attended made it clear that the evening was about much more than games and food. It was about friendship, fellowship, and creating a welcoming community where everyone can feel included.
A big thank-you to everyone who helped make the evening such a success! We’re already looking forward to the next Game Night!
Give Away Night 4-17-26
On April 17, 2026, members of the Mechanicsburg Lions Club came together to support the 180 Give Away Night, continuing their commitment to serving the local community. A total of 16 Lions contributed their time and effort, either preparing food or serving meals to those attending the biweekly food bank event.
Guests were treated to a hearty and comforting menu that included sloppy joes, macaroni and cheese, applesauce, and dessert. The meal was well received and enjoyed by all who attended, providing not only nourishment but also a welcoming sense of community.
The Mechanicsburg Lions remain dedicated to making a positive impact, and their participation in events like this reflects their ongoing mission to serve others with compassion and generosity

Lions Club Brings Warmth and Fun to 180 Ministries Game Night
Members of the Mechanicsburg Lions Club led a lively 180 Ministries Game Night on January 23, welcoming 13 community members for a fun-filled evening of Bingo. Ellen Mank and Mike Caravello kept the games active and engaging as Bingo callers, while Nancy Shaffer, Vicki Alfieri, and Karen McKendry served up a comforting spread of chili with cheese, corn muffins, and brownies. Though the evening was cold outside, the room was warm and cozy, creating a welcoming space for friendship and connection. Community members shared how much they enjoy Game Nights led by the Lions Club—and many make a point to attend whenever the Lions are involved.
