
The Mechanicsburg Lions Club proudly and actively supports Pennsylvania Lions Beacon Lodge Camp, a specialized summer camp and retreat center serving children, adults, and veterans with disabilities since 1948. Located on 583 beautiful acres along the Juniata River near Mount Union, PA, the camp’s mission is to provide individuals with special needs the opportunity to enjoy camping experiences that promote recreation, education, and personal growth.

Recent Activities
The Pennsylvania Lions Appreciation Day (PLAD) is held at the PA Lions Beacon Lodge Camp in Mount Union, PA.
This event is held yearly and open to all Pennsylvania Lions and their families. The day is filled with events such as a scavenger hunt, trivia, basket raffle, a camp tour, chicken BBQ, and the Great Duck Race.
A performance is also put on by campers to show their appreciation to Lions for their continued support.
Five members of our club attended this year- Patti & Mike Clark, Steve & Danielle Harriman and Jeff Woodward.
