Mechanicsburg Non-Profit Day

This free community event showcases the incredible work of local non-profits and raises awareness of the impact they make throughout our area. Attendees explore a variety of booths, connect with organizations, and learn how to get involved.

On May 14th, Lions Linda & Mike Fenicle attended the first non-profit day in Mechanicsburg. They arrived early only to find Mechanicsburg’s Mayor and fellow Lion John Anthony and his wife Karen setting up tables and chairs, so they decided to help them finish. There were over 20 non-profit organizations represented, including Meals on Wheels, New Hope Ministries, Pink Hands of Hope, Mission Central and the Wildcat Foundation just to name a few. The Mechanicsburg Lions already assist most of these groups with their service projects & make donations to them on a regular basis. Lions Linda & Mike felt that foot traffic was light but they enjoyed seeing and speaking to everyone & hope to continue supporting this event in the future.
