The Mechanicsburg Lions Club helps improve the quality of life for people in need by collecting used eyeglasses, eyeglass cases, and hearing aids throughout the year. Collection boxes are conveniently located at businesses and community locations throughout the area, making it easy for residents to donate items they no longer need.
Club volunteers are assigned specific collection sites and regularly gather donated items, typically on a monthly basis or more often at high-traffic locations. These donations are then processed through Lions programs, where they can be refurbished, recycled, or distributed to individuals who need them. Through this ongoing effort, we help give the gift of better vision and hearing while encouraging our community to recycle and give back.
